Cory joined the EDF Energies Nouvelles team in 2010. In his role as Vice President of Development, Cory leads the company’s Canadian business development efforts, its Canadian development team and is responsible for assembling a national portfolio of renewable energy projects. During his tenure the team has developed a Canadian wind and solar project portfolio of approximately 1600 MW commissioned or under construction, representing over $3 billion of invested capital, which includes the 300 MW Blackspring Ridge Wind Farm near Lethbridge, Alberta, western Canada’s largest renewable energy project.
Cory has built his career in the Canadian renewable energy industry with experience in business development, permitting, marketing, finance, procurement, construction, and project management. Prior to his current role, Cory led a team at SkyPower, a Canadian-based renewable energy company as Vice President of Project Development. Cory’s accomplishments include the development of Canada’s most easterly wind farm in Fermeuse, Newfoundland. Cory is Chair of the Board of Directors of CanWEA, is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and lives in Toronto.
