Electricity and Sustainable Energy
David James is the Assistant Deputy Minister for the Electricity and Sustainable Energy Division in Alberta’s Department of Energy. He provides executive leadership, oversight and policy advice to government on Alberta’s transition to a lower carbon electricity system. Prior to joining Alberta Energy in 2011, he served as a telecommunications officer with the Canadian Forces, providing deployed and static telecommunications support for Army operations in Canada and overseas. David has a degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from the Royal Military College of Canada.
