Erin is a Partner at Jensen Shawa Solomon Duguid Hawkes LLP, who practices in the regulatory, employment and professional negligence areas. Erin has appeared as counsel in Alberta Utilities Commission proceedings, at the Provincial and Superior Court levels in Alberta and British Columbia, including the Court of Appeal of Alberta, in large scale multi-party arbitrations, and in mediations.

Erin has advised clients in arbitration proceedings and hearings, including Power Purchase Arrangement arbitrations in the Alberta electricity industry and construction disputes. In 2016, Erin was counsel for TransCanada Energy Ltd. and ASTC Power Partnership in obtaining a decision of the Chief Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, appointing arbitrators and dismissing an application to stay arbitrations commenced in relation to the termination of Power Purchase Arrangements. Erin has advised and represented IPPSA on several matters including, most recently, in AUC Proceeding 23828, involving an Application for Approval of a Settlement Agreement between the Market Surveillance Administrator and the Balancing Pool.
