Kate Chisholm leads Capital Power’s legal, regulatory and compliance, environmental policy, government relations and external affairs teams. She has personally led significant and successful commercial negotiations, managed high stakes litigation and overseen important public policy influence strategies for Capital Power.
Kate has provided counsel and expert witness testimony in numerous electric utility hearings, including those arising from the restructuring of the Alberta electricity industry.
Kate obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Allison University, her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta, and her MBA from Queen’s University. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2010.
Kate currently serves on a number of boards and governing bodies, including the Alberta Securities Commission.
