Equally important to the design details of Alberta’s capacity market is how it will be implemented and administered.   This panel will begin with the AESO’s incoming President and CEO describing the roadmap for the market going forward.  Following that, the panel will discuss what else is required to make Alberta’s next market design a success.   This will include the alignment of Alberta policy and other agency roles and mandates, the importance of elevated consultation, efficient regulatory processes and timely decisions to ensure generator investor confidence and what can be learned from implementation challenges elsewhere.
