Former Executive Vice President, Regulatory, Legal and Public Policy
Rob is a retired executive with over 20 years of energy industry experience in the areas of legal, regulatory, policy, government relations, and governance. He has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta for over 28 years.
Rob began his legal career in private practice in Calgary and after 4 years of practice transitioned to the corporate world. For just over 10 years as EVP, Regulatory, Legal and Public Policy at ENMAX Corporation, Rob was a member of the senior executive team who advised the Board, CEO and other senior executives. Since 1996 he has contributed to the development and implementation of electricity policy enhancements in Alberta in the areas of environmental impacts, wholesale electricity market design, Power Purchase Arrangement design and operation, regulated transmission and distribution structures, retail electricity market design and regulated rate option design.
Rob is steadfast in his commitment to the principle that electricity policy must provide Albertan’s with an efficient, cost-effective, and predictable regulatory and policy environment.
In retirement, Rob has done some consulting to the energy industry but his primary focus has been on developing and managing a portfolio of real estate investments. He has been a volunteer in his community of Springbank for over 20 years and he and his wife Peggy have three adult children.
