Quotations from Voice of One
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!  It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down over the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes!  It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion!  For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life for evermore.” (Psalm 133)

We are all children of one text or another.  But there comes a time when we must put aside the text or let it simply pass through our lives so that we can move forward on our own two feet, and thrust ourselves into that vast 'sea' of meaning, immerse ourselves in its infinite depths and richness, and emerge renewed, centred, and transformed.

Who will carry the message forward that our power relationships in society have not significantly changed as a result of the democratic revolutions and political reforms of the last two hundred and thirty years? The exercise of political power remains the prerogative of a select few and their surrogates.  The power and authority to make the required systemic changes still rests with a relatively small number of people whose own self-interests and the interests of those who support them militate against changes in the status quo.  Who will carry the message forward that the paths to those individuals in power and authority have to be cleared of any obstructions that are likely to prevent an objective consideration and assessment of the questions placed before them?
