Southern Albertans are known for their ingenuity and generosity—and farmers and livestock producers are known for stepping up when a need arises. Time and time again, our producers have answered the call when a neighbour or community has been disadvantaged and seeking support; despite facing unpredictable weather, fluctuating markets and rising costs. That spirit is what inspired Acres of Production, a community-driven idea championed by Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation Board Director Lisa Huvenaars and her husband John. You can support the Bringing Hearts Home cardiac campaign by pledging the proceeds from a few acres of your 2025 harvest. Whether it’s 5, 10, 20, or 50 acres, your commitment will directly support life-saving cardiac care at the two regional hospitals serving Southern Alberta. It’s a partnership rooted in trust. As your crops do well, so does this campaign. Together, we share in the risks of cardiac care – and we also share in the incredible impact.
Let’s bring hearts home. One acre at a time.
