Grandview Housing Co-Operative, 1455 Napier Rd., Vancouver
This exterior building restoration project was composed of a 150-foot-long steel U-shaped catwalk for building access. There are 2 steel stair towers that provide access from the ground floor to the second-floor catwalk and extend to the wooden rooftop catwalk.
Vancouver House, 1480 Howe St., Vancouver
Vedder Steel was tasked with completing architectural miscellaneous steel work. This ranged from stainless steel pipe shrouds to ladder access cages and included parkade steelwork.
Footlocker, 1067 Robson St., Vancouver
150 Tonne, two story steel building built between two block walls. Structural columns and beams with steel decking compose the two floors of the building, as well as an extensive green roof with steel enclosed rooftop units. The feature staircase in the center of the building is completely steel with concrete topping, completely self supported from the center column and hanging rooftop beams.
George Phase 1, 3018 St. George St., Vancouver
Vedder Steel completed the supply and installation of steel moment frames and steel frame supports for 2, 6 story wood-framed buildings on level 1. Vedder supplied the exterior steel canopies for the 2 entrances of the buildings.
Mirabel, 1180 Broughton St., Vancouver
Twin residential tower project with steel balcony sunshades and planter boxes. Courtyard steel sunshades and miscellaneous steel planters throughout the project. Due to the staggered balcony layout, a custom engineered probe beam was designed by Vedder Steel to efficiently complete the installation of all Balcony sunshades.
Court Loft, Vancouver
Supply and installation of a new 6th floor on top of an existing building. Due to this being an existing building, a helicopter had to be used for the installation of the materials.
